Wetting agents
Belith WA products are intended to accelerate the wetting of mortar ingredients to compensate for adverse blending conditions, achieve a lump reduction, to serve as dispersion aid for expensive pigments or to improve substrate wetting or flow.
Belith WA10 - high surface active, yet low to no foaming surfactant preparations, very effective at surface tension reduction at low addition rates. Belith WA10 is rather hydrophobic and may exhibit pronounced defoaming characteristics, indicative of improved wetting/displacement of air from surfaces. The product can lead to increased viscosities.
Belith WA20 - high surface active, yet low foaming surfactant preparations, very effective at surface tension reduction at low addition rates. Belith WA20 is more soluble than Belith WA10 and exhibits more emulsifier-like properties.
Belith WA1064EXP - experimental wetting agent for fast wetting. Mortars should not become more hydrophillic. The product may exhibit stronger wetting (and defoaming) than Belith WA10 and flow may become reduced.
Belith WA10349EXP - experimental wetting agent to improve wetting and flow. The product is rather neutral with respect to a hydrophobicity/hydroplillicity balance. No defoaming observed.
Belith WA10CB EXP - experimental wetting agent of a somewhat cationic nature for general wetting and potentially improved plasticiser efficiency in clay containing mortars.
